Ford’s KA+ budget car range has been updated for its 2018 release.

The small has benefited from new styling, latest technology, efficient new engines and the addition of an Active crossover variant.

Both the KA+ and KA+ Active come with Ford SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system, rain-sensing windscreen wipers and automatic headlamps.

Ford says the petrol engine offers 10 per cent more torque and a four per cent fuel efficiency improvement.

The diesel powertrain delivers just 99g/km CO2 emissions and produces 215Nm of torque.

KA+ also now has an integrated exhaust manifold that optimises the exhaust system warm-up for reduced emissions.
